You can update KYC of EPF online using unified member e-sewa epf portal. In order to update or change your KYC, you need UAN (Universal Account Number) credential. If your UAN is activated you can log in to EPF Unified member portal to update your KYC.
These KYC details include PAN card number, Aadhaar card, and bank account details.If your KYC details are not updated you may face problem in claim settlement. Apart from this KYC update in EPF gives following benefits.

How to update KYC for EPF UAN Online?
Step 1 – Login to unified member portal – https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ using UAN credential. In the Manage tab, you will find contact details and ‘KYC’ tab.
Step -2 – If you want to change your email id or register mobile number click on Contact Detail tab. You will be prompted to input new mobile number and e-mail id.
If you wish to update your KYC information, click on KYC tab. The list will be displayed asking for modifying or adding KYC detail. Select the detail you wish to modify and provide appropriate inputs. Once you are done click on save button.
Step-3 – The KYC details submitted by you will be sent to your employer.
Step-4- Once your employer approves the changes status will be visible under “Approved KYC” tab.

Is it mandatory to update this KYC details?
No, it is not mandatory to update this KYC details. However, these details can help you in processing your claim faster. Not only that you can get a regular update on SMS if KYC details are updated.
Can I upload the document directly online?
Current system does not provide facility to upload document online.
How much Time will it take to change approval status?
Your employer needs digital signature in order to authorize your KYC. It will take approximately 48-72 hours to change the approval status in the system. The information shall be verified from appropriate authorities by the system.
How do I know that KYC uploaded by me is approved by the employer?
The status will be shown against uploaded KYC document on the same page. The system will also trigger SMS on your register mobile number.
